I cried when Temple gave me an update this morning. You were in my dream last night. It was so sweet. I was giving you some friendly pecks on the cheek. Then I read your post and I laughed - omentum momentum! Thinking about coming to visit you and Rowena sometime this summer if it's not too much. Sending you lots of hugs my friend.
Ed, thank you for sharing this -- your "jelly belly"-- with ... the world.
Your practicing what you pr/teach comes through here loud, clear, and lovingly, and the photos were a treat for me, especially that great shot of the fam from last Christmas, in that they allowed me to see some of what and whom I'd only previously heard about (including you in your hospital-issue tighty-whities).
Because I am (sigh) a man, and can't help ranking and rating things, I have to admit that my favorite sentence in this piece is "And here in the hospital, the free apple juice was flowing," with "It’s not my stomach–it’s snot, my stomach!" running a close second.
That goofy shit aside, again, thank you for your courage and vulnerability in sharing this, and for your embodiment of the 6Cs.
Know that I am with you from across the country, and that I love you.
Reggie, thanks so much for your note. It made me laugh out loud. Right on the apple juice?! Glad the snot line was a close second. You're a role model for demonstating a healthier, Teal-ier manhood. Love you back, brother.
Wow, Ed! Talk about a whirlwind. I am glad you are getting the help and support you need! I'll hold you in my prayers as well as you go thru these next weeks. Sending you love
Thanks so much, Jennifer! I'll take the prayers. It has been a whirlwind--and sometimes those winds help clear away the clutter and allow you to see the important stuff better.

This is what makes you a great storyteller, men's health advocate extraordinaire, and wonderful guy.
Thx so much for these kind words, Jed. And for paving the way on telling personal stories that help elevate all of us.
Thanks for your frank and useful column today - and I wish you great success on your healing journey.
Thanks very much for the kind, encouraging words, Kim!
